I hope my communication today finds you all well and safe.
This morning the Premier, Daniel Andrews addressed the state regarding children in Victorian Schools moving to remote learning and care to begin in Term 2. This is to continue to support social distancing and slow the spread of COVID-19.
This means that all students should be learning from home in Term 2, with exceptions allowed for students and families who work in essential services. This includes parents who cannot work from home and/or vulnerable children.
If you fall into one of these categories please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, by Thursday 9th April by 4pm, naming your child/children and the essential service you provide to the community.
As stated in the letter to families, at the conclusion of Term 1, learning programs for all students will be delivered, through See Saw and/or Google Classroom for all students. This will begin on Wednesday 15th April, as Tuesday 14th April will be a Professional Learning Day.
The daily guidelines for remote learning will be posted on Flexibuzz or placed on Google Classrooms or See Saw on Wednesday 15th April. During Term 2, teaching staff will be available between 9 – 3:30pm, for you to communicate with.
For those students who have no other choice but to attend school, the learning program delivered on site will be the same as the learning program delivered to students undertaking remote learning. Student learning onsite would be supervised by a teacher, but follow the teaching and learning program provided by their classroom teacher.
I thank you in advance for your continued support and partnership. We will get through this together, and better days will return…
God bless, stay safe and stay healthy.
Mrs Joanne Webster
